About Me
Alyssa Barrera Lansford (She/Her/Ella), who prefers to go by the name "Lyssa," is a Latina board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and fifth-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Special Education at the University of Texas at Austin. Lyssa's research is centered on advancing the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) by integrating qualitative research methodologies, concepts of intersectionality, and culturally responsive practices. Lyssa's work aims to highlight and amplify the voices of the diverse populations served within the ABA community. By focusing on ethical and inclusive practices, she seeks to develop innovative solutions that address the unique needs of these populations, ultimately striving to promote ethical solutions within the field.
